This past week, I had the privilege to participate in College Week Live’s Live Chat along with another one of UCLA’s students. Let me begin by saying that I had such a blast participating. Being able to answer questions from prospective students, particularly about UCLA, was amazing. We had question after question coming in. Being able to experience how eager students are about college, reminded me that applying to the UC’s is just around the corner. This is the time when you guys should be doing your research and starting on your personal statements- believe me, it’s never too early to start. The earlier the better. Being INFORMED is the key to preparing yourself for college.

By being informed, you are becoming aware of your needs and wants from the colleges that you are applying to :). I can tell you that when I was applying to different colleges I wanted to make sure that I was researching all of my schools and look at where I ended up- UCLA! Applying to colleges can be stressful but don’t forget to remind yourself about the unforgettable time you will spend at the college that you will eventually attend. College is beautiful and will open many doors for you.
