Welcome, Summer!!

It was a memorable week at UCLA.  Finals week was filled with many people studying late into the night; luckily, I was not one of these people.  I was able to finish early and spent Finals week relaxing and slowly moving out of my dorm.  It’s hard to imagine that it was only a mere nine months ago that I moved into UCLA life and now it’s very bittersweet to take a three-month break.  I’m definitely going to miss the campus, Westwood, and all the friends I have at school.  As a transfer student, it’s quite a bummer having only two years at this wonderful place; however, it’s not difficult to live a wonderful life at UCLA in two years.

In one year, I was able to participate in a large amount of clubs and organizations, play two intramural sports, secure two jobs, and make more friends than I imagined.  UCLA is a place I have come to love and I’ll definitely miss the world I have created there.  However, I’m very excited to be home.  One thing I’m looking forward to this summer is my Travel Study Program during the month of August—for the whole month, I’ll study Shakespeare in London and Stratford-Upon-Avon.  This is a great opportunity I am able to do through the English Department at UCLA.  It’s going to be a great experience and I’m happy to represent the Bruins abroad.  Go Bruins!!
