It has been a wonderful week of Bruin spirit and pride!  “I ♥ UCLA” Week is a once-a-year opportunity for students to show their UCLA pride and get freebies and giveaways at the same time for doing so.  This year, there have been a series of events promoting Bruin spirit, including a Car Smash in Wilson Plaza, Distinguished Alumni Panel, Bruin Pride Photo Contest, donations to the UCLA Food Closet, free giveaways of “I ♥ UCLA” sunglasses and tank tops, Dance Showcase, and last but not least, Spring Sing.

Spring Sing has been one of the greatest UCLA traditions of all time since 1945, and through it we have made many discoveries of exceptional talent, including Sara Bareilles and Maroon 5.  Guest celebrity judges and masters of ceremonies (such as Ronald Reagan and Julie Andrews) have made these even more popular among students.  I can’t wait to see who we have this year and witness the extraordinary talent to be showcased tonight!
