Hannah Bernosky
- Hometown: Hollister, California
- Year: Junior
- Major: English and History
Hi! My name is Hannah and I am a current bruin and prospective teacher! I am studying English and History with hopes of going to grad school for an M.A./Credential to teach high school in the States or English abroad. I absolutely love being a bruin and everything about UCLA. I’m from a small ag town in Northern California called Hollister (Go Haybalers!), so LA is quite different from my hometown. On campus, I’m a member of College Against Cancer and a Bible study leader with UCLA Cru. Other than that, I’m also a frequenter of swing dance parties, theater performances, and hiking trips. Coming to UCLA has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, I have not regretted a single day here. Our campus is so diverse and lively! Everyday at UCLA is a new adventure and I cannot wait to share it with you! Read all of Hannah’s posts.
Jamie Campbell
- Hometown: Littlerock, California
- Year: Sophomore
- Major: Communication Studies, Education (minor)
Hi! My name is Jamie and I am a second-year Bruin loving every minute I’m spending at UCLA. I’m from the teeny tiny rural town of Littlerock, California located about an hour away from Los Angeles in the Antelope Valley. Since my hometown was so small and I knew everyone in my graduating class, being in Los Angeles and having the opportunity to meet dozens of new people everyday is super new and exciting to me. Ever since I was in first grade, I wanted to be a teacher and now I get more and more excited every day as I grow closer to making educating others my career. I absolutely love getting involved on campus. I am a Bruin Ambassador, a tutor for underprivileged preschool children with AmeriCorps Jumpstart, a camp counselor with UCLA UniCamp, a Peer-to-Peer workshop presenter on “finding the motivation to succeed” through the campus Career Center, a member in Alpha Delta Pi sorority and an undergraduate discussion leader for an education course titled “success in the undergraduate experience.” Although all of these activities as well as studying for my classes keeps me super busy, I still manage to hang out with my roommates, go on jogs around Westwood, and explore Los Angeles in my spare time.
