How is the weather at UCLA?
Posted by: darrin | August 10, 2008 at 05:15 PM
The weather? Ha! Los Angeles is known for great weather and we feel it is one of the many characteristics that attract people to move here for school. We are fortunate to experience to average 325 sunny days with dry, warm to hot summers and cool to mild, light rain winters with low humidity year-round. UCLA remains cooler than other areas of the LA metro area because of the breezes that come from beach. I am happy to say it has been a wonderful week weather-wise - mid-80s during the day and los 60s at night with mild humidity.

I'd like to apply to UCLA and maybe some other UC colleges but I can only apply to Merced on the UC application.
Also, am I applying for the full year or only a term?
Thanks!

Heather: There is an option on the UC application, which will be available mid- to late-September, to apply to more than one campus. As far as applying to UCLA, you must apply for the full year.

I think if I could do it all over again I'd apply to UCLA. Education was great but I had to scrape my windows everyday to get the ice off before driving in to school.

What information do the final transcripts contain? Just the final grades from senior year? I'm international, and my school gives out final transcripts that have just the final grade.

Regarding 'final transcripts,' they generally contain all coursework and grades for a student's high school years. However, some international schools only have the final grade. Our international evaluators are trained to know how a country's educational system works and will assess transcripts accordingly.

I'm in NC, and I was wondering what the out of state tuition is at UCLA.

Non-CA resident tuition is approximately $28,000. Please visit the following site to learn more about tuition, fees, and living expenses while attending UCLA.
