I'm thrilled that I got admitted and am looking forward to revisiting UCLA this month!

But here's the problem. During my spring break (Apr 16-20), there are zero housing tours scheduled, according to the housing office. Every high school that I know of has spring break during the week of Apr 16-20! Can the housing office consider these facts and offer housing tours during that week? 10,000 + admits and their parents want to know!

Hi Jana:

First of all, congratulations and welcome! Regarding Housing Tours, they won't be available until the week of April 23. You're welcome to check out the residence hall area at any time, but access to the buildings is restricted. You can take a Virtual Housing Tour on the Housing Website: www.housing.ucla.edu/tours. In the future, I would recommend you address all housing-related questions to the Office of Residential Life, they know a lot more than we do over here in UARS.

hi......
im an international student and im really excited about the chance to study at UCLA...i just wanted to know what the dates are for the orientation and also what is the deposit required before first may????

oh one more question...whats the typical class size?? im looking at economics related courses...
thanks...

Thanks for offering me admission! However i had a question regaurding the provisional admission contract. I was wondering, if we recieve a letter D grade in any class, are we automatically denied admission. Also, does the 3.0 unqeighted minimum GPA include non-academic elective courses like orchestra.

I probably will not recieve a D or lower than a 3.0, but the chance that i might is making me very nervous.

Thanks

Nandini,

As far your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) and deposit, that information should be included in your admit packet or on the SIR website, I would check there for the most accurate information.

You will be receiving information about Orientation after you SIR. Keep checking back here for a blog post from a former Orientation Counselor.

As far as typical class sizes go: there really isn't one. Class sizes vary from subject to subject, and lower division to upper division.

Congrats and welcome!

Great question Darren, and one I'm sure many of your fellow new admits share. If you are at all concerned about how a change in your academic schedule and/or performance will affect your admission status at UCLA, the best thing you can do is submit a Provisional Problem Form (PPF) as soon as possible. You can submit a PPF online at: https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/ppf_fr/ppf_fr_login.htm

Hey i was offered to admission too!

cool picture. i liked it. looking forward to join UCLA :)

oh one more question...whats the typical class size?? btw pic is too cool :P

Nice article thanks for sharing.

UCLA's student to professor ratio is 18:1. Some classes are larger than others, while many students have unique opportunities to work in small classroom settings and on individual research projects with world-renowned professors.
